SIZE MATTERS!
That’s right bitches! Oh gosh pull your head out will ya? I’m talking about Crystals of course you goof. Why you may ask? Well think of a candle flame. Lets say you have a Birthday Candle lit and its flame is 1/2 inch but you have another candle that’s quite a bit bigger and it’s flame is thicker and longer than your Birthday candle. Which candle would you choose to illuminate a bigger space? The Bigger Candle right? Well same thing applies to Crystals. If you need to charge a space with some big energy and the space is large you may desire to use a larger crystal. So with that being said lets get to it!
Oh Shoot! One more thing. I just have to express my deep gratitude for Hibiscus Moon for re-igniting my passion for Crystals. I’ve worked with some basics for a while but nothing like this and nothing compared to what I am learning now. So what you receive here are some things I’ve been utilizing for a while and then some things that I’ve just started to implement.
Black Tourmaline
A new favorite of mine! Black Tourmaline is absolutely amazing at transmuting energy. So if you know that your list of clients is going to be heavy and you are going to need that extra protection or just to keep your energy rooted and balanced this is the crystal to use. It really clears the space and keeps it tidy so when any (perceived) negative juju gets thrown your way (be it consciously or just from clients worries and emotional turmoil) the crystal will transmute that before it even reaches you. It can also be used to release anxiety and suffocating feelings. So now let’s get crafty!
You can place a Larger Black Tourmaline at the center of your reading space so that the energy that you give off is not over-powering your client and the energies that they give off are not tainting your reading and over-powering you that you do not work up to your highest and best. It also helps to keep each individual in their own space and the reader to bring the information forth without feeling disoriented.
If you are like me and don’t have a space to do Physical readings then you can do what I do. Place the Black Tourmaline in front of your reading area. I actually read at my computer since I offer readings via internet so I will place the Black Tourmaline in front of the Monitor. This one actualy acts as even more of a blessing as it can help to filter the EMF’s being thrown at you from all the techno-demons (OOPS I mean goodies). So Rock-star Status!!!
You can place it at the four corners of your reading room, you can put it in a pocket or wear it on a necklace. Get crafty with it!
Pyrite
Now this baby is a lovely bit! Shinetastic! So Pyrite is great for many things but lets just keep it a tad simple here. First of all a benefit for those who do on-line readings is that Pyrite also helps to filter out or act as a shield toward EMF’s entering your space. Now it 
can also be used to get the job done, to give you that pep in your step and help you to take on your fears and really succeed.
You can use this while doing your internet readings to protect you from those pesky EMF thingers or…. If you have a client who is coming to you for a change and in your reading you discover that they have a big fear of change and they just cannot get over this fear. You could have them hold the Pyrite while you do the reading and allow the pyrite’s energy to help them ease a bit and it will give them the courage and that extra boost to do what they need to do. You can place the Pyrite out on the table or wherever it is you read and allow it to just be in the presence of the energy that is being exchanged. If you do distant readings you can just talk to the Pyrite (yes TALK) and ask it for assistance on behalf of your client (with their permission of course) and incorporat that with your reading. The reading will give you the tools to help your client but the Pyrite is an added boost to help transition the client into making the right decisions for them and feeling empowered even more. I don’t know about you but if I can have a tool that will benefit my clients even more then I’m open to it!
Chrysocolla
I’m so excited to post this! YES! This is a beautiful one ooh joyous crystals!! Okay enough of that. So here’s the business. Chrysocolla is associated not only with the Throat Chakra but with the Heart and Root Chakra’s as well! Freaking awesome right? I know! So can you imagine what its amazing for? It’s great for clear communication, at expressing yourself in a gentle way but with strength. It really unearths the sacred feminine within. So for this 
one I’d definitely say wear it close to your heart or your throat chakra. To really help you bring the divine inspiration from what you receive to your client in a safe and effective way. If you have trouble expressing certain things, this will help you to easily and gracefully move through it and say what is needed to be said in a way that will be gentle enough for the client to digest. It will help you to remain grounded but also express yourself through your heart center. This crystal really helps to keep things fluid.
Now I do suggest to wear this one! I think it makes sense to do that. But Also if you can have a few laid out on your table that would be fun as well. If your client wants to hold em while you read, you can explain to them the properties and just keep it light and fun. This can be an added benefit if the client is in a real deep mood and needs that lighter, watery energy to clear things but in a way that they wont be in shock from.
Black Obsidian
Now this is a tricky one. Before I get in to it I just want to put a little cautionary note out here. I don’t suggest working with Black Obsidian and your Tarot Reading if you are fairly new to working with your cards or even working with energy. Black Obsidian is something fierce and powerful and beautiful of course but quite potent and can have some major effects on your clients and even yourself if you do not properly handle it.
Black Obsidian is what I guess how most view the Swords cards in the Tarot. Bitches to no end but definitely receive a lot of insight and healing after all is said and done. It has the ability to take you really deep within yourself and dig out some powerful emotions, memories that stem from not just this life but others as well. So you can see why you 
should be a little cautious when working with this crystal and a client. It’s also good for deep cleansing of (our perceived) negativity as well as spirit communication. So how can you benefit from this?
When I have a client who comes to me and while a part of them wants a reading and needs that insight the other part is so skeptical and doesn’t want to hear a thing you say and is just trying to test you and you get no real work done, I’ll use Black Obsidian. What the Black Obsidian does is helps me to ground and re-focus my energies as well as to filter out the junk the client is sending my way and to give me the ability to dig even deeper past the barrier that they are putting up and into what spirit wants them to know. Yes there are other ways to do it and I’ve done so since I’ve been reading but I love the fact that I have another tool up my sleeve and working with this crystal has really helped a lot! Not just me but my clients. I’ve had them in shock wondering how I knew what I knew and how I was able to really get to the core of things even when they were focusing on something to throw me off. (Rolls Eyes.)
Rose Quartz
LOVE! You know what though, I rarely bring out the Rose Quartz when I do love readings. I usually bring it out when I do readings that concern the exact opposite. This crystal we all know is the epitome of love, self love and divinity. It has this ease and grace energy and 
is a truly gentle spirit.
If you wish to add some compassion and fluid love energy to your reading space then get out some Rose Quartz! I find that this crystal tends to put most in a better mood. It helps people to relax a bit and ease their tensions. Now if you are doing a reading and there seems to be a lot of anger or tension in it you can bring out the Rose Quartz and place it on your tarot cards or at the center somewhere and ask for it’s healing energies to help transition the reading, to help bring about the highest and best for all involved.
