TarotSurprise11 The Tarot Surprises

This post is dedicated to a wonderful woman in my life! My Friend Bridget. What a wonderful Witch, healer, wife, mum etc she is. She is such a beautiful soul and has so much to offer and receive from this wonderful place. I am so blessed to have someone like her in my life. YAY!!!

Once you step upon the path of the cards, don’t be surprised when you start to notice the written meaning and what you actually see in the card to be two totally different concepts. You see, I believe the Tarot to be quite alive and so when you work with the cards, you work with your client, the question being asked, the energy around you and everything that is involved… each card will then shift it’s energy and meaning given the underlying currents it flows with. For example one day you may see the High Priestess as someone who is well versed in spiritual matters but in another reading you may see her as being a right bitch of a woman who doesn’t want to care for her children and only cares for the things that she finds suitable.

So know that when you are doing a reading for someone else and you see a card and expect it to mean something you are accustomed to it meaning but your inner guidance system is telling you differently. Go with the flow, honor what your inner guidance system is saying and know that you can find the balance between all meanings of the card.  Now lets play!!!!

So take your cards out and go through your favorites for now. Take one card and look at it. And say to yourself “One one hand this card could represent this (Insert what first comes to you) on the other hand it could represent this (insert a different perception). On a deeper standing it could mean ____ and on a lighter note it could mean ____. When I am having a good day this card can mean _____ and when I am having a challenging day this card could also mean ____. Turn the card upside down, sideways or any which way you can and see if you notice anything different about how the card looks or feels. Write down all sorts of different perceptions you have.

So what are some of your favorite tarot cards? Tell me about your experiences with this exercise in the comment section below.
