LOOK! The Human Pretzel! Yep that’s what I learned today lol how to twist my body in all sorts of ways to promote healing! But we’ll get back to that. Today I woke up with a mission. To take care of my body and to give it a real good workout. So I started with P90X2: X2 Total Body + Ab Ripper and then I did P90X: Back & Biceps (still energized from my workouts) I hit the Elliptical for what was supposed to only be 30 minutes which ended up to over an hour (Lost track watching the Biggest Loser).. I finished the day with Detox and HardCORE.
I really loved Detox! I love the twisting and learning to breathe through the uncomfortable stage. My challenge today was the Reversed Triangle Pose, oh dear lordy! (I think it’s called Reversed Triangle Pose)… Jeepers I can’t think of the names for the poses now! Well I’m getting better at them. One pose that kicks my ass every time is BOAT! Or anything that requires me to lift my legs and hold em in the air out in front of me while my hands are off the ground trying to balance that and on my arse is a pain! I get all kinds of funkified! Falling on my back, to the side, gosh don’t look at me! Luckily the only audience I have are my two dogs. At the end of my Yoga I was spent! My body was tired but at the same time energetic. I had an appointment with a client after and my communication, my ability to express my creativity and artistic perceptions were far more fluid than had I not done yoga. It seemed like everything just aligned perfectly and what I needed to say, how I needed to say it and express it just came right out of me.
This experience with Yoga has really got me interested in taking it further. 108 Days yes but it makes me want to learn more about Yoga, the history, the names for the poses and everything else. First things first though, Get all my other certifications finished, 108 days through and then re-evaluate my stance on everything.
