Ask and you Shall Receive. For so long I’ve been really inspired and called to take up yoga but there was just so many different paths that I was intimidated. I didn’t know what to choose. Nothing really spoke out to me. The past few months I had a strong urge to really take some time and find out what Yoga Practice I should do. I started that research and got overwhelmed again and just threw it all out. I was on twitter one day and noticed someone by the name of ‘The Ultimate Yogi’ followed me. Interesting. (I just noticed I have not followed back – changing that LOL) No Direct Message, nothing. Their Symbol stood out to me but I thought whatever; another person who wants me to buy their product or service or whatever this ultimate yogi was about. I didn’t visit their page, I didn’t click follow (obviously oops) and just went about my business. The Symbol/Sign of the Ultimate Yogi stood out to me and it was playing out in my mind for a few days. I know when to honor a sign when I receive one
So I decided to check their twitter page out, then their FB Page and then their website. I watched the video and I was seduced by the scenery, the energy, the calling. So I Ordered the Program!
Day one consisted of CrossTrain, HardCORE + 10 minute Meditation. CrossTrain is an hour long and while I’m used to exercising for that long if not longer, a lot of Yoga programs that are that long tend to bore me or lose my interest but this one kept me engaged and focused. I was really impressed. I was in my zone, doing the program, focusing on my present moment, my body, my breath and enjoying the experience. HardCORE was a challenge. My most challenging is lifting my legs up and keeping my balance. I for some reason tend to fall back, damn ass needs to stay put! LOL. I feel so connected. I can tell that this experience is going to be quite beneficial to me. I already feel so good about it. Doing the Poses I could feel the energy flowing fluidly through my body. Each pose with its signature energetic pattern behind it was a blessing to experience. Travis Eliot has a unique voice that I find quite soothing. The way he speaks as you are in the process of each pose it flows with the practice. I’ve done Yoga where the Instructors voice just grates at you, it’s as if they are trying to channel Dr. Phil or something and it’s not working with the intent of the class.
Anyways I had fun. It was very enlightening. But I have to say I was hungry as hell afterwards! But that could be due to doing P90X2 Prior to Yoga
hmm… Today is a good day. Today is just the beginning of even more amazing changes. I claim my greatness. I claim beauty and strength and the ability to see through obstacles for they need not exist where I choose to travel. Yep.. Day 1 complete
Whats next?
